· We currently have 294 paying members of the Homeowners Association.
· Craig read the new letter to contractors and construction workers seeking their cooperation while in SADM. This letter is going to be handed out by Dora Alicia and Craig at the guard gates on August 14 and August 28. More dates to come. A letter for renters and residents is also being handed out detailing guidelines for noise, trash, and common sense good neighbor behavior.
· Dr. Alvarez reported that Panchito, our long time worker who had a stroke, is improving and Dr. Alvarez and the board will reach out to him when the time is right.
· The next community fiesta on September 15th will be headed by Dora Alicia and Dr. Alvarez.
· The September beach cleanup is coming and the local school children want to volunteer again. Date is Sept 19. Liz noted we need three pickup trucks this time to help to transport the debris.
· Liz suggested we consider independently test the ocean water due to concerns of water polution.
· A possible Christmas fiesta was discussed and the board felt that residents are so busy at the holidays with personal plans that we would not hold a holiday party. Also without a proper clubhouse the weather is often an issue in December.
· In September we will try again to block access for vehicles trying to drive on the beach at the 600 block pool.
· The path to the beach on Bahia needs to be fortified.
· Elections have been moved from December to January.
Actions:
