September 25, 2008: MEETING MINUTES OF SAN ANTONIO DEL MAR HOMEOWNERS COMMITTEE

Members Present: Dr. Martha Alvarez, Al Rosen, Javier Gonzales, Liz Walton, Herta Calvo
Items Discussed:
· Security program needs economical car for patrols. Martha is willing to continue allowing use of her private car. Recommended that we ask for donation or reasonable sale of late-model car.
· Businesses providing services to pay residents’ utilities, etc., not willing to forward payment of Homeowners’ dues. Suggestion that at the general meeting we determine if there are any residents who believe their dues are being paid by one of these companies.
· Request that we identify company that prints vehicle ID stickers.
· Discussed resident’s suggestion that road bumps be placed at entrances. Consensus did not support suggestion. Would need permission of City.
· Discussed whether there will be a Posada Celebration this year. Question will be brought to the general meeting.
· Discussed agenda for general homeowners meeting on October 11: volunteers to hand out visitor rules on holidays; preparation of financial reports; acknowledge persons who have contributed to street repair; Posada event.
Previous Items:
· Problem collecting trash on 300 block of Bahia resolved, according to Martha.
· Liz reported on QUICK BOOKS progress. Resident Jeff Shanahan has volunteered his experience. He has helped in developing an efficient way to produce invoice statements and record payments. Goal is to have project finished by end of December.
· Employee related financial obligations discussed. Martha assured group that all financial and labor responsibilities are being followed.
· Mexican Independence Day Fiesta was a success. Not much money made but large turnout. Identified individuals who contributed to the event and they will be recognized at the general meeting.
· Beach Clean-up Event was a success. More than 1 ton of trash collected and itemized. Identified people who contributed — event captains and especially students from Colegio Reina Isabel. Consensus that we should try to participate in this event twice a year.
Actions:
· Minutes from August 28, 2008 meeting reviewed and approved. Herta moved and Liz seconded. Unanimous acceptance.
