January - 10...From Bo and Dennis, calle Roca (email: bobendana@yahoo.com): We and several of our neighbors have been using Sergio (Valenzuela Alvarez) [01-661-613-3119 in Rosarito] to do almost anything we need done as he is a true handyman. But in addition to work around our home (see also our write up as him in the "Handyman" referral section,) He is also great at appliance repairs, having repaired both our washer and dryers! He seems to know exactly where to go in town to buy the parts needed and has quickly made the repairs and on top of that, he is dependable, reasonable in his prices (we pay him by the hour or the day) and is very fluent in English. November-08...From Al Rosen (sandal2@prodigy.net.mx): If you need any appliances repaired, I recommend Alberto Navarro. My wife and I were ready to buy a new dishwasher, but a SADM friend told us to call Alberto. We did. He showed us the problem with our current dishwasher -- clogged filters -- and repaired it. We now have the "new" dishwasher minus a sizeable outlay of money. He gave us information about avoiding the problem in the future and recommended a product to prevent the tap water from continuing to leave deposits on the filter. Alberto speaks English. May-08...From Michele Scott (migitana@aol.com): We have used Señior Filberto Muñoz (and Sons) 4 different times now for appliance repair and replacement. Twice he fixed a very old refrigerator and finally on the 3rd time it broke (power outages and power fluctuations here in San Antonio cause havoc on appliances!), he sold us a "used" refrigerator with a warranty that was a "steal" price-wise and has worked for years now. (Also saved us the hassle of trying to buy one in the US and to transport it back across the border!) Also he has repaired a washing machine for us. He usually comes on the same day that we have called him, and somehow miraculously, has parts for our old appliances. We have been extremely pleased with his quick service and also we feel his prices are very reasonable. He speaks good English.
