Our Beach Clean-Up in September 2008 was a roaring success and here are some photos to prove it!
We were helped out by an enthusiastic group of kids from the Colegio de la Reina Isabel. We collected 3410 items of trash that all together, weighed over 2038 pounds! We also categorized the trash by type, and submitted our report to the California Coastal Commission - the agency responsible for organizing these beach clean-ups all along the Pacific coastal regions. The results of our report were combined with all the other reports and will give all of us valuable information about waste dumping activities.

Weighing the Trash
In 2009, we will have TWO beach clean-ups. A Spring Clean-up , March 21 and an End-of-Summer Beach Party in September.
