March, 12, 2009:  MEETING MINUTES OF SAN ANTONIO  
DEL MAR HOMEOWNERS COMMITTEE 
4:15pm 
 
Members Present: Al Rosen, Javier Gonzales, Craig Schaefer, Liz Walton, Herta Calvo, Dr. Martha Alvarez & Dave Holt. 
 
Items Discussed:  
·      Liz brought photos and information that the tires from the beach clean up could be used to help repair the erosion on Tornado Street. Dr. Alvarez will contact an engineer, Senior Mascareno, to see what type of foundation could be built to anchor the tires. 
·      We discussed contents of Saturday’s community meeting: financial reports, 2009 budget, Pay Pal, Administrators report on pool, security, & maintenance, Beach Clean Up. 
·      Info regarding dues: 189 residents pay something. 112 pay whole year at once, 14 pay bi-annually, 31 pay quarterly, 19 monthly, 13 by previous agreement before this board was elected are lifetime honorary members. 
·      Having used Dr. Alvarez’s car for the past seven months at $50 a week, the fee of $1400 was agreed would purchase the vehicle outright for SADM use for both maintenance and security. In the past six months 30,000 miles was added to the vehicle. 
·      Financially we are doing OK. We remain vigilant with expenditures. 
·      We would like to be able to run and maintain the 800 block pool by the summer. A pump was donated but we still need a filter which may cost approx. $600. 
·      Like to fix the basketball court (add hoop) and discussed fixing holes in fence up to five feet high to be able to use as a contained space to let dogs run. Add benches or chairs and pooper scooper for the area. 
·      For security & safety we need one street, Cantil, in good repair to be able to cross the community quickly from end to end. 
·      Beach clean up on March 21st is organized by Liz and Herta. Dora Alicia and Craig will do the registration in park. 
·      Resident, Jose, is willing to fix the swings in the park. 
Actions: 
 
·      Liz made a motion, Craig seconded, to spend $1000 ($20 per tree) to trim palm trees in the park before the Santa Ana winds and fire season. Vote was unanimous. 
·      Petitions will be available for signing at the Community Meeting to petition the City of Tijuana for needed sewer repairs.
