Board Members Present: Al Rosen, Javier Gonzales, Craig Schaefer, Liz Walton, Herta Calvo, David Holt, Dora Alicia McIntosh, Alex Sandoval and Administrator Dr. Martha Alvarez.
Approximately 50 homeowners attended.
Highlights

·      A financial report was distributed. Al and Herta explained the income and expenses.
·      Only 189 residents pay some kind of dues toward the maintenance of our community. A concerned neighbor expressed the need to have more financial participation from more residents and that we should approach our neighbors, one on one, to contribute. He was especially concerned with the lack of money for street repairs.
·       One neighbor suggested that we form block teams to clean our streets and our own blocks.
·      Al explained that there is nothing legally that can be done to limit the services for those who don’t contribute.
·      Concern was expressed regarding the condition of the sewage pump house at the South end of SADM. Dr. Alvarez explained that she continually is in touch with CESPT and will persevere until they resolve the problem. She explained that we are not allowed to repair CESPT property. A petition was passed for residents to sign to demand action.
·      A report was given regarding the maintenance of parks & green areas, street lamps, bathrooms, 600 block pool, street cleaning and the security team. All of this is managed by Dr. Alvarez.
·      Stickers for cars of all residents of SADM are available and help the guards with identification of residents.
·      A neighborhood watch program was suggested by a resident, but no one came forward to head that effort.
·      Residents complained of large pot holes in the 900 blocks of Farrillon and Cantil. It was suggested to start a special fund raising effort to fill in pot holes and repair the streets.
·      Al Rosen asked for a volunteer to help create a disaster preparedness plan for the community.
·      Al asked for a volunteer to lead a green recycle environment initiative for SADM.
·      Al asked if there was interest in a community garden. No one came forward.
·      It was explained that if we are able to acquire a filter (approx. $600) then we could open the 800 block pool this summer.
·      If funds increase would like to be able to add day time security patrols.
·      Pay Pal, need for a community vehicle, palm tree trimming, beach clean up, Tornado erosion, need to keep dogs on leash and pick up after your dog, church group renters creating noise and trash, renters and landlords obligations to the community were all discussed.
