July 9, 2009: MEETING OF SAN ANTONIO DEL MAR
HOMEOWNERS COMMITTEE MINUTES

Members Present: Al Rosen, Javier Gonzales, Craig Schaefer, Dora Alicia McIntosh, Alex Sandoval, Dr. Martha Alvarez & Dave Holt.
Items Discussed:
· Read revised minutes from May 14, 2009. Craig made a motion to accept, Alex 2nd. Vote unanimous
· Read minutes from non-quorum meeting June 9, ‘09. Martha motion to accept, Dora Alicia 2nd, unanimous vote.
· Went over the financial report to be presented at Saturday’s community meeting. Thank you to Herta Calvo for detailed meticulous accounting.
· Discussed a residents concerned with the growing squirrel population. Board decided individuals will have to deal with this on their own same as mice, ants, etc. We cannot be in the extermination business.
· Al will thank publically on Saturday those who helped with the successful 4th of July pool/barbecue party.
· Al will announce the new dog/skate/basketball recreation area in the 400 block of Farallon on Saturday.
· Dr. Alvarez will have administrators report ready for Saturday community meeting.
· Tornado street erosion is still a problem and the city of TJ is being pursued continually. The city of TJ has to engineer and make the repairs so that they assume the liability for construction and durability.
· The negative comments in a resident’s blog were discussed. No action to be taken.
· Guards are reminded to wear their identification badges.
· Only SADM employees can receive ID badges.
· Pool liability lies solely with the parents of the children and others who swim in the pool.
· If your trash is not picked up call Dr. Alvarez for assistance.
· There is ongoing concern that water runoff at the beaches is being treated correctly.
· Dogs off leash are still a problem and the same chronic offenders ignore requests to leash their dogs in public areas.
· Javier Gonzales will make a map to show where streets have been repaired in SADM.
Actions:
· North beach was cleaned per a residents request.
· CESPT was contacted twice this past week seeking repairs to the South end pump station.
· CESPT has made needed repairs with the promise of more to come.
